How Can I Purchase the Pattern Set?

The patterns are available in Knit Now Issue 144, which is on sale now. To find your nearest stockist, visit www.seymour.co.uk - or order online from www.moremags.com. You can also purchase a digital edition of the magazine via the PocketMags app.

Tips for Knitting the "Care Bears" Pattern Set

Here are some tips to help you knit the "Care Bears" set:

- There are a lot of stitches in the blanket you might find it easier to work back and forth on circular needles.

- Be careful if you have a lot of large bobbins in work, they can be heavy and tighten your tension.

- Cloth pegs make great yarn bobbins. However, this project takes a while to finish so it may be a while until you can use them again for hanging out clothes!

- When picking up the stitches for the side edge, you can place 7 stitch markers evenly across the edge to give you 8 sections. Now only need to pick up 21 stitches in each section.

- I recommend you weave your ends by using the duplicate technique on the back of the work. Weave in the yarns a cross 3 to 4 stitches of the same colour.

- Don’t get overwhelmed! Try knitting 4 rows a day. It will only take you 66 days to knit the whole blanket.

- when knitting the cushion, if you don’t have stitch markers then try to use bobby pins or yarn scraps.

Conclusion

I hope you enjoy this Care Bears knitting pattern set! The blanket, cushion and bunting are all made in lovely shades of blue and pink and would be perfect for a baby nursery.

The patterns are easy to follow and included intarsia charts for the Care Bears motifs. So why not get started today? Happy knitting!
