I've kept this one simple, I did think of adding leaves at the base but I thought I would sooner have a the block colours and you could also was add a peice of tinsel to the base after knitting if your after something a little extra.
 
Yarn colours required - MC: Red, CC1: Parchment, CC2: White, CC3, Yellow.
