This cowl is knitted flat in 2 long vertical pieces and seamed together to create around. The charts are worked one at a time.
Pictured is a DK version of the cowl with an instarsia chart repeated 4 times around the outside. Unlike other Instarsia patterns you rotate your chart 90 degrees, this is so the cowl is knitted on straight needles. Great for those who want to practice their colourwork or those who don't knit in the round. The cowl design has a plain stocking stitch panel on the reverse that makes it nice and thick and but also hides the back of the charts, but you could use another chart panel to make this a two for one cowl.
